The Student Help Desk provides both in-person and virtual support, as well as technical guidance to Craven CC students. This wide-ranging support includes platforms such as Moodle, Self-Service, Office and Outlook.
Call us at 252-638-7212 for assistance. We are located in Room 100 of the Ward Building. Our hours are listed at the bottom of this page.
Whether leaving a message, or opening a ticket, please provide your full name, Student ID number, an email address to which you have access, and a call back number.
Open a Help Desk Ticket - Fill out the form with a detailed description of the assistance you need. Make sure to enter a working phone number and an email address to which you have access.

RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD
Resetting your password is dependent upon whether you are:
(a) a new student (never taken a class, or attended more than a year ago) or,
(b) an existing/previously attended student (less than a year ago).
PLEASE NOTE: All students must enable MFA
See below:

INITIAL PASSWORD AND MFA
1. Locate the email with your college email address and initial password. Your initial password is:
(a) The first 2 letters of your last name (first letter is uppercase and second letter is lowercase)
(b) Your six digit birthdate
(c)The word "craven"
Example: John Doe with a birthdate of 01/03/04 would have the password Do010304craven
2. Using your temporary password, navigate to https://office.com
3. Click “Sign In” in the top right corner.
4. Log in using your pantherid@my.cravencc.edu (i.e. johnd12345@my.cravencc.edu)
5. Sign in with your temporary password
6. Make sure to enable your MFA Options. You will not be able to access Microsoft Office or Outlook unless you have MFA.
7. Once MFA is completed, you are considered an existing student. Now, change your password. Follow the steps below:
(b)Existing Student (Must have MFA to reset password)
RESETTING PASSWORD
1. Navigate to passwordreset.microsoftonline.com
2. Enter your College Email
3. Enter the letters/numbers in Captcha
4. Confirm your MFA Verification
a. Click Text My Mobile Phone
b. Enter your Cell Phone Number
c. Enter the Code texted to your cellphone
5. Set up your password:
a. Must be 15 characters long
b. Must include uppercase and lower case letters and, at least, one number
MFA Detailed Instructions-ALL STUDENTS
1. Login to your Microsoft Account (Self Service, Office, or Outlook) with your college email (i.e. johnd12345@my.cravencc.edu)
2. Enter your Password
3. You will see a message "Let’s Keep Your Account Secure", Click "next".
4. The next screen says to install Microsoft Authenticator App. Do NOT use the App.
5. Instead, click where it says “set up a different way to sign in”
6. Choose "Phone" and enter your phone number
7. Enter the Code texted to your cellphone.
8. Your SMS is verified and you will be notified that your phone was registered successfully. Your MFA will then be enabled. Click "done".

Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 pm
Virtual Assistance -- Tuesday-Thursday and Sundays -- 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 pm

November 27-30 -- Thanksgiving Break -- College Closed (College will close at 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 26)

December 24-January 2 -- Christmas Holiday -- College Closed
